photography holiday Tuscany

Experience an amazing mix of landscape, nature, medieval villages and Italian food. This tour is designed to guide you to the most beautiful photo spots in Tuscany in the best light and also help you in improving your photography skills and your eye for composing photos. All that combined with amazing food in a group of like-minded people sharing the same interest in photography, traveling and landscape.

Scenic drive Tuscany

We will arrive in Florence on October 14th and head straight to our hotel in the beautiful Val d’Orcia. The Casanova Wellness Hotel with its rustic architecture lets us flow into the Tuscan sense. It is located in between olive trees and cypresses and offers a divine view of the landscape. Once arrived at the hotel we will have a welcome drink and get to know each other. We will also talk about what the participants are trying to achieve in their photography, which techniques they want to learn or to improve and where the individual “pain points” in photography are. After that, we will set out for an evening shooting in the best Tuscan light at the most beautiful photo spots in Val d’Orcia.

The next day we will start early in the morning to capture a breathtaking sunrise in this wonderful valley with the cypresses and head from one photo spot to the other. After a full morning capturing the beauty of Val d’Orcia, we will sit down and enjoy a wonderful Italian lunch. After lunch, we will head back to the hotel to discuss the photos we’ve taken in the morning. You will get so much inspiration from the work of the others. The late afternoon/evening light will be ours and we will again head to some wonderful photo locations.

On the 16th we will leave Val d’Orcia after a short morning shoot and head to the Chianti region. On our drive, we will stop at several spots to capture the landscape. Our hotel, Il Borgo di Vescine, welcomes us in the lovely town of Radda. Its terrace and pool invite to hang out and enjoy some Chianti wine. We will walk through the vineyards of Chianti and photograph the beauty of the landscape before we head back and have a decent dinner accompanied by some Chianti followed by discussions on our photos and the progress.

San Donato

On the 4th day of our photography holidays in Tuscany, we will explore the charming town of San Gimignano. We will check into the Hotel L’Antico Pozzo right in the heart of San Gimignano from where we will have an amazing day of photography in this wonderful medieval village and enjoy the lusty Italian food.

Explore Chianti

Our last and final stop will be Florence on the 18th of October where we will find some wonderful photo sceneries and photo spots to shoot during the day and during sunset. We will stay in the beautiful Rapallo Hotel right in the heart of Florence. Our last opportunity to discuss the photos we’ve taken will be after our farewell dinner in Florence where we will have to say goodbye on the 19th.
